Serengeti National ParkTanzania's oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 ![]() Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. ![]() The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat. |
![]() Manyara National ParkFamous for its tree climbing lions, Manyara National Park is surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meters from the crater floor this natural amphitheater covers an area of 260square kilometers. It is home to 25000 larger mammals species of which over half are zebra and wildebeest. |
Huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants can be seen once your at Tarangire National Park. You can enjoy guided walking safaris, day trips to Maasai and Barabaig villages, and visit the hundreds of ancient rock paintings. |
![]() Ngorongoro National ParkThe Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the largest area in the northern part of Tanzania; the largest unbroken caldera in the world which is unflooded. Once was volcanic terrain: from the rift valley escarpment and lakes, and still active Oldoinyo Lengai Mountain. ![]() Ngorongoro comprises of several great Archaeological sites like the Olduvai Gorge where you find the remains of hominin fossils, geological and natural topographical features attract many tourists, blended with cultures of the tribes (Maasai, Tindiga and Hadzabe) living in and the surrounding areas. ![]() The Ngorongoro Highlands - there are walking trails/expeditions from Olmoti Crater to Oldonyo Lengai/Lake Natron through Empakaai and Ngare Nairobi, which involves culture interactions with Maasai people and wildlife viewing |
